Dr. Ali Aminazad is a highly accomplished respiratory and sleep specialist with a strong academic and clinical background. A Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), he is renowned for his leadership in respiratory and sleep medicine.
He actively contributes to professional bodies such as the ATS, TSANZ, and ASA, and is involved in medical education through Monash University.
His clinical journey includes advanced ICU training and a specialisation in respiratory and then sleep medicine.
Dr. Aminazad established the pleural service at Eastern Health and pioneered their services in pulmonary hypertension and leads the CPET program. He is skilled in bronchoscopy and ultrasound-guided pleural procedures, lung cancer diagnostics and sleep disorders.
He works at the Respiratory Sleep Disorder Centre (RSDC), which delivers rapid diagnostic and clinical services especially to patients who need urgent review of the pulmonary nodules and masses. At RSDC he is heavily involved in management of sleep disorders and runs comprehensive sleep tests in the laboratory and also at home.
