Dr Henry Zhao is an academic neurologist with special interests in Stroke and General Neurology. He completed both his medical degree with honours and PhD through The University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital Comprehensive Stroke Centre. Dr Zhao is a current clinician-researcher practising as Consultant Neurologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital where he is the lead neurologist for Australia’s first Mobile Stroke Unit ambulance program.
His other appointments include Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine, The University of Melbourne; VMO Neurologist at Epworth Health Richmond and Freemasons and Consultant Neurologist in the Ambulance Victoria Stroke Telemedicine Program. Dr Zhao has extensive experience in all aspects of stroke care and recovery, including rare subtypes of stroke.
